Considering it's unique geographical location - a stone hill above the city of Rijeka, this hydrotechnical building is seen as a city's potential identifying landmark.

The building is designed as an upright truncated cone which's main axis is perpendicular to it's base. Geometrical shape of the structure is respectively bounded by a sphere and a conical plane, where the base and the tip of the cone are circles and the external surface is a curved plane. The base is made of a circle with a smaller radius, while the roof finish is designed as a circle with a bigger radius -  this way the building seems to be radially extending from the base to the top.
